-- Event Forms Key Part of SFA’s Year-Round Program Focused on Training and Best Practices for Advisors’ Administrative Professionals --
ATLANTA, GA – July 12, 2016 – The Strategic Financial Alliance (SFA), a leading, privately-owned independent broker-dealer and Registered Investment Adviser, today announced the commencement of its second annual Administrative Education Conference, happening July 21st and 22nd at the company’s headquarters in Atlanta. The conference forms a key element of SFA’s year-round Administrative Education Program, an innovative offering that helps SFA-affiliated financial advisors further elevate the efficiency of their practices by providing in-depth training for advisors’ administrative team members, as well as by facilitating best practices discussions among these crucial strategic personnel.
Built around the theme “The Power of You,” this year’s conference will feature a robust agenda of breakout discussions and general session presentations focusing on critical issues confronting SFA advisors’ practices and the vital role administrative team members can play in addressing them. Jon Dunwell, Vice President of Triloma, will deliver the conference’s keynote address, focusing on the ways in which administrative personnel can infuse each of their client interactions with purpose to help achieve their respective practices’ strategic goals.
Breakout session topics will include advisor-facing technology solutions; the impact of the Department of Labor’s new fiduciary rule; serving clients with diminished capacity; managing risks in money movement, and many more. The conference will also prioritize opportunities for administrative professionals to discuss the common challenges they face in their day-to-day functions and the best practices they have adopted in order to effectively manage these issues.
The various discussion sessions and addresses at the conference are designed to reinforce the training SFA provides to administrative professionals throughout the year through regular webinars, conference calls, and presentations focusing on sharpening key skill sets and developing new proficiencies in operations, technology, compliance, and other areas.
Clive Slovin, CEO of the Strategic Financial Alliance, said, “As the business of providing financial advice becomes more complex and more demanding, advisors’ administrative professionals are increasingly filling the role of de facto chief operating officer for their respective practices. While their responsibilities have increased, in too many cases the training and resources available to help them meet these new challenges have not. By empowering these professionals with the skills and know-how to tackle these obstacles, we can help ensure that our advisors’ practices are operating at peak efficiency. SFA is committed to helping our advisors adapt successfully to the many demands on their time in order to continue to grow and strengthen their businesses and serve their clients, and our Administrative Education Program is a prime demonstration of this commitment.”
Last year, Floyd Green, Founder and Partner of Cornerstone Wealth Management, an SFA-affiliated advisory practice based in Raleigh, North Carolina, sent three members of his administrative team to the inaugural Administrative Education Conference. Floyd said, “We are grateful to SFA for investing resources in making the conference and the ongoing Administrative Education Program happen. It will absolutely help to improve our operations here in Raleigh, which means greater efficiency and improved service to our clients.” Floyd is sending the same three members of his team to this year’s Administrative Educational Conference.
